Topic: The Movers & Shapers: Seven Founding Fathers of The United States of America by Dr. Jennifer London
When: Tuesday 11/03/2026 at 2:00 pm ET
This week we are joined by Dr. Jennifer London as we explore The Movers & Shapers, by Dr. Jennifer London and Taylor Baldwin Kiland, a compelling look at the seven men who shaped America’s founding. From Benjamin Franklin to George Washington, discover the personalities, rivalries, and struggles behind the creation of the United States.
This book built on the founders’ own words, is a narrative history for readers who want to know the people behind the parchment, and for anyone who has wondered how thirteen quarrelsome colonies formed a nation. Franklin famously said they built “a republic, if you can keep it.” Here is the story of the men who gave us one and a reminder that it survives only as long as we understand what we inherited.
Constitutional Chats are hosted by Janine Turner, Cathy Gillespie, student ambassadors, and experts who join us weekly to discuss hot-topic issues! The audience is not on camera, but you may ask questions!
