Macie Brown
Macie is a 5th grader from Illinois. She enjoys playing soccer, volleyball, art and spending time with her family and friends. She also plays the ukulele and trumpet. Macie also enjoys crafting. She has participated in several young entrepreneur craft fairs and donated some of the proceeds to a local organization that offers financial assistance to families with pets that need veterinary care who otherwise would not be able to afford the necessary treatments. When she grows up she would love to own her own business or be a third grade teacher.

Yes
How did you hear about the contest?
We saw a link to the contest on a scholarship website.
What inspired your work?
I got the idea after researching the constitution. I really like drawing cartoons and wanted to make it fun.
What did you learn about the U.S. Constitution while creating your entry?
I learned with the constitution being signed it ensured that we would be free. It is the highest law in the country and all the other laws have to follow it. It was signed in 1787.
How do you plan to spread the word this year to your peers about the importance of the U.S Constitution?
I am asking my teacher if you can come speak to my class.
Which U.S. historical site would you like to visit?
The White House
What are your career plans?
I want to own a business and advertise on YouTube.
How do you spend your free time?
Play sports and I like to play Roblox and watch YouTube videos.
Why is the Constitution relevant today?
It helps decide new laws.
