Constituting America honors the lives and legacies of Donald and Betty Hay, beloved parents of our CEO Cathy Gillespie, and devoted supporters of our mission.

Don and Betty shared a lifelong commitment to family, faith, and country. Both were passionate about educating future generations on America’s founding principles and inspired all who knew them through their dedication, kindness, and service.

Betty Hay was an active member of the DAR, Dallas’ Jane Douglas Chapter, and volunteered in their school outreach programs. She was an enthusiastic supporter and volunteer for Constituting America and a continual inspiration to Cathy and all who knew her.

Donald Hay was a proud member of the Sons of the American Revolution and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He devoted his life to family and the values of education and civic engagement, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to inspire.

The Hay family has requested that contributions be made to Constituting America in their memory.
