Kevin Wensing

Kevin Wensing is a leader in the military and Veteranscommunity advising organizations and companies following 30-years of service to America in the US Navy and the Pentagon.

Working with various business and non-profit enterprises, he is a senior advisor on strategic planning, business development, special events, media relations and crisis communications.

He was selected to plan & execute the U.S. Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration’s opening ceremony with the President of the United States, Vice President, Secretary of Defense, other Cabinet leaders, thousands of Veterans and military families. He was involved in every aspect of the event, coordinated national media coverage, gathered hundreds of organizations and companies as commemorative partners and continues to advance this national program.

As Vice President of the USO he helped launch the WARRIOR GAMES with the US Olympic Committee and Department of Defense and advanced other initiatives for America’s service members and their loved ones. In 2011 he joined the Gary Sinise Foundation to continue supporting America’s most severely wounded warriors and military families and continues to be a leading advocate for the Armed Forces and Veterans.

As a Naval Officer and DoD Senior Executive he led those in uniform, civilian staff and supported their families. Assignments at sea and ashore include Special Assistant to Deputy Secretary of Defense. leadership positions with the Secretary of the Navy staff, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Seventh Fleet, Naval Forces Central Command during the Gulf War and service aboard USS BLUE RIDGE, USS ARTHUR W. RADFORD, and he earned designation as a Surface Warfare Officer aboard USS TRIPOLI.

Wensing serves as Chair of FCA Americas, a branch of Finland’s largest international charity, Quincy University’s Alumni Board, and is a member of advisory boards with theUSS CONSTITUTION Museum, NYC Veterans Day Parade, American Veterans Center and served on the Advocacy Committee of the US Tennis Association where in 2012 he initiated the annual Lt Joe Hunt Military Appreciation Day at the U.S. Open Tennis Championships. He has served as Chair of Military Committee for the 2017 PGA Senior Championshipsand is a member of Washington DC’s 2024 Army-Navy Game host committee.

He is a member of the National Press Club serving on the Headliner Committee hosting many Cabinet and military leaders, athletes, entertainers, sports and business executives and others. He has also organized military support for several Hollywood productions and appeared in the 2001 film “Pearl Harbor.”

He is a graduate of Quincy University (IL) and the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, RI and resides in Alexandria, VA.
