Remie is a 7 year old  2nd Grader at Copperwood Elementary School in Glendale,Arizona. He is a very inquisitive, friendly young boy who loves to learn new things, but most of all, he absolutely loves to talk to anyone and everyone. He also loves to read books, draw and sings constantly. He’s a member of Grammy Award Winning-Phoenix Boys Choir. We would like to acknowledge Montessori Center,his preschool,who helped us nourish his young mind. Special mention to Mrs. Cristal Wooten, Remie’s current teacher, for working and encouraging him. Remie is a great kid  who loves to play and watch TV with his younger sister, Ariella. Both have thrived coming from Philippine and American cultures. We all love him so much!

Thomas Norton, 10, lives in Grapevine, TX. He’s a 4th grader at Grapevine Faith Christian School and lives with his parents, big sister, and dog, Molly. He has always loved art and enjoys drawing lifelike pictures as well as things from his imagination.

When he’s not drawing, he can usually be found playing Minecraft or creating something. He recently earned his black belt in karate and also plays baseball and basketball. He loves attending Bible club and looks forward to his weekly art lesson.

Thomas wants everyone to know his winning artwork of a Marine saluting the flag is his depiction of his grandpa who served in the Marine Corps for 23 years. He is truly honored to be selected as this year’s winner and knows his grandpa would be proud.

Jackson Lipschutz, 10, is a fourth grader at Corbett Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida. He lives with his two sisters, his parents and his French Bulldog, Captain. His favorite subjects are writing, history and science. He enjoys playing the drums, creating art and also reading. He is a Boy Scout and loves the outdoors. McConnell Gorman, 11 years old , lives in Colleyville, Texas. He attends Grapevine Faith Christian School and is in the fifth grade. He loves sports and plays tackle football. When he is not playing sports, he loves drawing. He enjoys drawing both realistic and cartoon compositions. He considers himself blessed to have won this art honor!

Best Artwork (grades K-2): Emma Harrison, 8, lives in Corinth, Texas with her parents, older sister Abbey, and two cats. Emma is an outgoing, friendly brown haired, brown eyed, left-handed third grader. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, swimming, camping, sailing, drawing, taking piano lessons, and attending church. Emma is proud of the official Texas State Cupcake, Butter Pecan, because it was created by her classmate’s mom. Emma loves Jesus and has a heart as big as Texas!

Preity Chavan, 9, Best Artwork Winner, is a social and fun loving 4th grader at Crabapple Crossing Elementary School in Peach State- Alpharetta, Georgia. She lives with her parents and her older sister. Preity likes to sing, dance and ride her bike. Her favorite subjects at school are Math, Science, Music and Art. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano. Preity loves to play and sing patriotic songs including the Star Spangled Banner. Her favorite song is “This land is your land, this land is my land……”.

Grace Canales, 7, Best Artwork Winner, lives in Corpus Christi, Texas with her parents, older sister Becca, and younger brother Michael. School is cool for Grace as a 2nd grade scholar at Luther Jones Elementary. Three recent achievements include her being the Top Accelerated Reader in her class, earning 2nd place in the 2013 Law Day Poster Contest, and having among the “best tasting” recipes for the Chamber of Commerce Lemonade Day Contest! She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing soccer and swimming. Grace loves Jesus and His Blessed mother Mary and has a heart as big as Texas!

James Corley Sanders, 10, Best Elementary School Artwork Winner, lives in Trout, Louisiana. He is an honor student in the 5th grade at Fellowship Elementary, where he participates in the gifted enrichment program. He is currently serving as Vice President of the 4-H Club. He is a member of the 4-H Competitive Shooting Sports Team, an active member of Cub Scouts, plays baseball, soccer, and basketball. James serves as his church offertory assistant. In his free time he enjoys playing piano, chess, reading, drawing, writing, and fishing. He also enjoys spending time with his loving and supportive grandparents. Recent achievements include winning first place in the Louisiana Outdoor Writers Association junior essay contest, placing second in the Louisiana Outdoor Writers Association Photography contest, and being selected as the 5th grade student of the year for his school. James had a lot of fun creating his artwork, and feels so blessed to be awarded this opportunity. He hopes to honor and bring praise to God through whatever he is putting his heart into. In the future, James plans to study medicine.

Marin Mckinney, 9, lives in Ballwin, Missouri. She is homeschooled and is in the fourth grade. Her favorite subject in school is reading, and she also enjoys history and math. Her favorite historical time period is the American Revolution. Marin has taken art classes every week for the last three+ years and loves it! She is passionate about art and design and hopes to someday become a professional artist. In her free time, Marin likes to create projects in her “Creation Station” and loves to play soccer. She also manages to squeeze in time to play with her two younger brothers of whom she adores! She’s thrilled to have won this award and looks forward to sharing with others the importance of the Constitution.

Lirit Kaye, 10, lives in Phoenix, Arizona. She attends Benchmark Elementary School and is in the fourth grade. Her favorite subjects are math and art. Drawing always has been Lirit’s passion. She has taken art classes at the Carrie Curran Art Studios in Scottsdale and from Mrs. Blanco in the Benchmark after school program. Lirit has earned a Blue Belt in Karate and likes to sing and dance. She enjoys constructing Lego sets and playing golf with her older brother. Lirit is truly honored to have won this award.
