Sruthi Gandhiramanathan

Sruthi Gandhi is a high school senior from Northern Kentucky with a strong interest in computer engineering, data science, and engineering innovation. She enjoys exploring how technology can be used to solve real-world problems and create meaningful impact in communities.
At her school, Sruthi serves as Student Council President, where she helps lead initiatives that strengthen school culture, organize student events, and represent student voices in school leadership decisions. She is also actively involved as president in her school’s Multicultural Club, where she works to celebrate cultural diversity and create opportunities for students to learn from one another’s backgrounds and experiences.
In addition to her leadership roles, Sruthi is deeply engaged in STEM. Her research interests include data analysis, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies, and she enjoys exploring how computational tools can be applied to complex social and technological challenges. She was recently recognized for her work with a Best STEM award through the Constituting America program.
Outside the classroom, Sruthi is the founder of InspireHER, an initiative dedicated to encouraging young girls to pursue STEM careers through workshops, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences. She also enjoys playing piano and has played for 9 years.
Sruthi hopes to study computer science and engineering and continue developing innovative solutions that expand opportunity and representation in STEM fields at Purdue University.
